Abstract

The control and eradication of bovine leucosis in cattle breedings is based on the voluntary adherence of stockbreeders to plans approved by regional authorities and authorized by the Ministry of Health. Said plans shall establish the modalities for the diagnosis of the disease and the relevant serum and blood tests to be carried out. The Decree regulates quarantine measures to be taken in case the leucosis is detected and the conditions required in order to declare a cattle breeding officially disease free.
