Abstract The Government, for the purpose of the protection of consumers, national manufacturers, state interests and for the prevention of trade of commodities injurious to health and life of the citizens, decrees to establish that liquors, vodka and wine imported into Ukraine must comply with requirements and standards established in the country of origin but that must be compatible with requirements and standards applicable in Ukraine and, in case of their absence in Ukraine, must comply with requirements and standards applicable in the leading countries-exporters o the above-mentioned commodities. The above-mentioned imported commodities are subject to compulsory certification in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation and must be accompanied by the certificate confirming their compliance with requirements and standards of other countries recognized in Ukraine.
