Abstract This Resolution consisting of 29 articles amends the Resolution No.236 of 2014 and reorganizes the whole structure of the Resolution. In essence, the main changes concern (i) using similar brand names for registered pesticides or labeling the product with the name of its active ingredient (art.4); (ii) the documentation to be submitted for the registration of chemical pesticides (art.7); (iii) the documentation to be submitted for the registration of bio-pesticides (art.8); (iv) art.9 is completely dedicated to organic pesticides; (v) art.10 deals with pheromones and other insect attractants and art.17 deals with rules for their import; (vi) government research centers as well as public and private universities approved by the state to import pesticides without registration for scientific research purposes must not exceed their limit of 20 liters (20 kilograms) and the labels must also clearly show that the pesticides are for scientific research only and are not for sale (art.20); (vii) companies are allowed to import or display unregistered pesticides as part of their participation in exhibitions, provided that they present the summary, objectives, time and venue of the exhibition and other pertinent requirements to the Ministry, the event organizers apply for permission to import the pesticides for exhibition purposes providing the types and quantities of products to be used per participating company, and display one bottle of pesticide from every type and size (art.21); and (viii) the importers are obligated to submit a request to the Ministry before their consignments are released.
