Abstract

This Ministerial Decree validates the Statute of the Federal Plant Protection Service of the Russian Federation for the purpose of enforcement of the state control in the field of plant protection and secure use of plant protection means and measures. The Federal Plant Protection Service is set up for carrying into effect the state control and supervision of the application of the Legislation and the accomplishment of special measures for the protection of the plants and agricultural products. These measures include the protection of plants from diseases, pests, weeds, the secure use of plant protection means, carrying out of phyto-sanitary monitoring and scientific methods of survey and elimination of soil pollution, post-harvest treatment, control and elimination of weeds, safety control for the agricultural products. This Decree contains the complete text of the Statute.
