Abstract This Decree consisting of 8 articles and 2 Annexes aims at regulating the import of wild animals in compliance with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). It prohibits the importation, for personal and commercial purposes, of wildlife species non-bred in captivity included in Appendix (A). The species in Appendix (A) can be imported by authorized agencies such zoo parks and breeding centers under the conditions indicated in art.2 concerning permits, veterinary controls, adequate shelter, certificates accompanying the shipment, Veterinary Health Certificate issued by the competent authorities of the exporting country.
