Abstract This Decree consisting of 8 articles aims at establishing a work team at the Ministry of Environment and Water with the main tasks of (i) inspecting the fish farms to ensure that they comply with the parameters and conditions relating to health and technical aspects; (ii) check that the fish farms comply with the technical criteria relating to the preservation and storage of food, the veterinary drugs used for cultivation, conservation in cold stores, etc; (iii) verification of possession of the necessary registers for production and food products; (iv) execution of tests on samples on the production facilities and on the products; and (v) control over aspects of environmental protection. The president of the work team must agree on the inspections with the General Secretariat of Municipalities.
