Abstract Premier decrees that Federal Subsoil Agency is federal executive body authorized to carry out functions as regards rendering state services, management of state property and law enforcement in the sphere of subsoil management. Federal Subsoil Agency is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The main functions of the Federal Subsoil agency are : 1. organization of work for the reproduction of the sources of minerals and raw materials and their rational use ; 2. geological study of subsoil on the territory of the Russian Federation and continental shelf of the Russian Federation ; 3. keeping federal and territorial funds of geological information on subsoil and database on subsoil management ; 4. management of state fund of subsoil ; 5. keeping state cadastre of mineral deposits, carrying out monitoring of the state of subsoil ; 6. concession of the right of use of subsoil.
