Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes the regulations on conservation of degraded agricultural land and land infected with pests and plant diseases with a view of soil rehabilitation. It shall not be applicable to disturbed land allotted for mining and mineral extraction. Identification and localization of degraded, polluted and disturbed land, and the plots of land infected with pests and plant diseases shall be carried out by the local executive body on request of landowner or land tenant. Pollution level shall be established in accordance with the maximum pollutant concentration standards validated in accordance with the national legislation. In case of the impossibility of soil rehabilitation it shall be carried out soil conservation. The conservation period shall be established by the competent land authority. The plots of land subject to soil conservation shall be expropriated from landowners with payment of compensation in accordance with Land Code.
