Ministerial Decree No. 943 validating the Regulation on keeping state register of the sources of emissions and absorption of greenhouse gases.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of keeping state register of the sources of emissions and absorption of greenhouse gases. The aforesaid state register shall be kept and updated by a specialized organization, nominated by the authorized state institution in the sphere of environmental protection, that performs scientific research activity in the sphere of climate change and greenhouse gases emissions. Preparation of annual state register shall be performed in the time period of twelve months beginning from 1 May of the year following the reported annual period. Keeping annual state register shall include the following arrangements: (a) data collection; (b) analysis and data processing; (c) quality control; and (d) submittal of state register for assessment of compliance with the requirements of international agreement signed by the Republic of Kazakhstan in the sphere of reduction of greenhouse gases.
