Abstract This Ministerial Decree stipulates that water bodies pertaining to Federal, regional or municipal property shall be conceded for exploitation for the following purposes: (a) defence and security; (b) discharge of effluent and (or) drainage water; (c) exploration and extraction of minerals; (d) timber rafting; (e) irrigation; and (f) recreational water use. Applications submitted by natural and legal persons must contain: (a) personal data of the applicant; (b) name and location of the waterbody in question; and (c) substantiation, purpose and period of water use.
