Abstract

State registration of forests and keeping state forest cadastre have as purpose ensuring efficient organization of conservation and protection of forests, rational management of forest stock, afforestation and carrying out systematic control over qualitative and quantitative changes of forest stock. State registration of forests and keeping state forest cadastre shall be carried out by state forestry institutions in accordance with common system for all forests at the expense of State budget. State forest cadastre includes the system of data regarding legal status of forest stock, its distribution among the forest users, classification of forests by categories of protection and other data characterizing qualitative, quantitative state and economic valuation of forest stock.
