The purpose of state supervision shall be to ensure protection of consumers’ rights. State supervision shall be applicable, in particular, to the requirements ensuring safety of human life and health, protection of animals and plants, and prevention of deceit and fraud. The main tasks of state supervision shall be: (a) prevention of violation of mandatory requirements set for produce; (b) prevention of violation of mandatory requirements set for certification; and (c) prevention and suppression of violations of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary requirements.
