Abstract This Ministerial Decree establishes the procedure for animal quarantine. Natural and legal persons perform quarantine of newly arrived animals, imported, purchased exported animals and animals transferred for diagnostic research and veterinary treatment. Animal quarantine shall not applicable to newly arrived animals, imported, purchased, exported and transferred: (a) on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in case of epizootic welfare in territory into zones of departure and destination, and the information is provided in veterinary documents and in the database on identification of farm animals; and (b) when delivering animals for subsequent slaughter at slaughter sites (meat processing plants) with information on them in the veterinary documents and the database for the identification of agricultural animals. Duration of quarantine of animals imported from third countries or transferred between the member countries of the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union and exported from the Republic of Kazakhstan to third countries shall be not less than twenty-one calendar days, unless otherwise provided by veterinary (veterinary and sanitary) requirements for a particular type of animals. Animals imported from third countries or transferred between member countries of the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Area, exported from the Republic of Kazakhstan to third countries are quarantined in the outgoing country and in the recipient country, unless otherwise provided by veterinary requirements for particular species of animals.
