Abstract

This Ministerial Decree requires the state executive bodies responsible for the supervision and control of hazardous radioactive sites to keep a register of sites where radioactive substances and sources of ionizing radiation are mined and extracted, transported, processed, managed, collected, stored or buried. Enterprises, institutions and military units; plots of territory or areas of water; and conveyances that respectively deal with, contain or transport radioactive substances or waste or sources of ionizing radiation shall be subject to registration. The state institutions responsible for radiation safety shall control the registration proceedings and the reliability of information. State executive bodies shall use the registry data to develop environmental protection measures.
