It shall not apply to bottled drinking water. Water users carrying out water supply shall analyse possible risks in order to ensure the safety of drinking water. Risk assessment shall be carried out by water users in the following manner: (a) identification and of harmful characteristics of potable water; (b) analysis of identified potential risks; and (c) establishment of adequate risk reduction measures. Potable water safety shall be ensured by: (a) selecting a safe source; (b) protecting the source against pollution; (c) ensuring its compliance with safety requirements; and (d) state supervision.
