Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of carrying out inspection and assessment of beef herd sires by quality of the offspring and small bull productivity testing. It shall be applicable to stable keeping and to stable and grazing keeping of cattle. Inspection of beef herd sires by quality of the offspring and small bull productivity testing shall be carried out at the pedigree breeding farms that keep sires for reproduction purposes and trade small bulls and female calf for reproduction purposes. The Regulation consists of 7 Sections: (1) general provisions; (2) inspection and assessment of beef herd sires in accordance with pedigree registration data; (3) inspection and assessment of beef herd sires by quality of the offspring with simultaneous small bull productivity testing; (4) inspection and assessment of pedigree beef herd sires; (5) determination of pedigree category index and management of tested and assessed beef herd sires and productivity-tested small bulls; (6) requirements set for ancestors and continuers of breeding line; and (7) the modalities of legalization of the outcome of inspection, assessment and testing of beef herd sires by quality of the offspring and small bull productivity testing.
