Entry into force notes

The Decree shall enter into force after its publication in the Official Gazette. Its provisions shall be enacted in such a way so as the sale of products complying with this Decree will be authorized. As from 15 August 2008, the sale of foodstuffs which fail to comply with this Decree shall be prohibited. However, the sale of foodstuffs which fail to comply with this Decree and which have been labelled prior to this date shall be authorised until stocks run out.

Abstract

Pursuant to Directive 2006/52/EC relating to food additives other than colours and sweeteners for use in foodstuffs, this Decree brings forth extensive amendments to the provisions of the Food Code. More specifically, articles Nos. 33, 41, 42, 44, 45, 58, 70, 80, 83, 84, 87, 90, 91, 93, 98, 99, 103,110, 111, 113, 114, 119, 121,123,125, 131, 132, 135, 137, 139, 141, 144 are hereby amended.
