Abstract

The purpose of this Ministerial Decree is to prevent the illegal processing, smuggling and trade of alcohol, liquor and tobacco by requiring that: (a) the trade of industrial alcohol shall require the prior written decision of the Uzbekstandart agency attesting to the necessity of the use and amount requested for technological purposes; and (b) the transfer of alcohol for safe storage and barter transactions shall be deemed offences liable to prosecution. A state quality control inspectorate shall be established within the Uzbekstandart agency to control the quality of alcohol and liquors.
