Abstract

The present Regulation determines the modalities of carrying out monitoring of vegetable kingdom and use of data thereof. Monitoring of vegetable kingdom is integral part of environmental monitoring. Objects of monitoring of vegetable kingdom are wild-growing plants, populations of wild-growing plants and their natural habitats except for cultivated agricultural crops, ornamental plants and forests. Monitoring of vegetable kingdom regards: 1. plant variety of the Republic of Belarus; 2. plant species protected in accordance with international agreements concluded by the Republic of Belarus and those recorded in the national Red Book; 3. resources of vegetable kingdom, including fodder, edible, medicinal, technical and other precious marketable plants; 4. natural habitats and growing areas of plant species. Data collection, processing, reporting storage in data banks of data and information obtained as a result of monitoring of vegetable kingdom shall be carried out by the National Academy of Sciences.
