This Decree enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The introduction, registration, import and trade of pesticides to the country shall be approved by the relevant authority. Organic and biological pesticides are subject to the same registration procedure as for the chemical pesticides. The analysis of all the imported pesticides is obligatory. The text regulates also the transport and the accompanying documents of the pesticides. Details concerning the registration procedure, the conditions for granting the import/export permit, packaging specifications, percentage of residues allowed , conditions and procedures for pesticides destruction, inspection are all specified in the text. Offences and penalties are defined by Federal Law No. 41 of 1992 on Pesticides and Federal Law No. 3 of 1987 on the Penal Code.
