Abstract

This Ministerial Decree charges the state veterinary supervision with: (a) preventing infectious animal diseases; (b) ensuring veterinary and sanitary safety; (c) protecting the national territory against the introduction and spread of infectious or exotic animal diseases from other states; and (d) preventing, discovering, controlling and eliminating violations of veterinary legislation. Animals, products and raw materials of animal origin on the official list of animal diseases particularly dangerous to human or animal health shall be confiscated and destroyed, and the conveyances used for their transport shall be disinfected in accordance with relevant veterinary and sanitary requirements. Mandatory disinfection and recycling without confiscation of animals, products of animal origin, drugs, feedstuffs and animal feed additives harmful to human or animal health shall be carried out by order of the state veterinary inspectorate.
