Abstract

The Regulation consists of 3 Sections. The Federal Agency of Marine and Fluvial Transport is a federal executive body entitled with the functions of rendering state services and state management in the sphere of marine (including fishing seaports, specialized seaports and harbour facilities) and fluvial transport. The Agency shall organize activity for the prevention and liquidation of oil pollution from ships in the open sea and in the inland waterways, shall ensure maintenance of inland waterways and navigable waterworks, shall carry out the functions of the leading institution responsible for setting up and functioning of the Global marine communications system in case of disaster.
