Abstract

The purpose of this Technical Regulation shall be to ensure protection of life and health of citizens and prevention of fraud. It shall be applicable to wines produced and traded on the national territory. This Technical Regulation establishes: (a) compulsory safety requirements for wines; (b) requirements for processing, handling, transport, storage, packaging, labelling and recycling of wines; (c) traceability and identification of wines; and (d) quality assessment of wines. Wines circulating on the national territory shall conform to safety requirements set forth in the Annex 1. Producers and traders of wine shall be responsible for ensuring product safety. The use of rectified ethyl alcohol shall be prohibited in the process of wine-making. Quality and compliance assessment of wines shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) production control; (b) compliance declaration; and (c) state supervision.
