Abstract

A Decree establishing that the name "Topikos oinos plagies Vertiskou" shall be reserved for rosé dry table wines produced by the traditional methods in the region of Thessalonica, provided they fulfil the specific requirements prescribed by the present Decree. Such wines are produced by "XINOMAURO", "ATHIRA" and "ASIRTIKO" grape varieties. They are produced by grapes planted in vineyards situated in adequate areas. Such vineyards should not yield 700 kg/1/4 of an acre; the temperature of the alcoholic fermentation can not exceed the 20 C; the alcohol grade of such wines should not be inferior of 10.5 % VOL. but it can not exceed the 12 % VOL.
