Abstract This Ministerial Decree establishes the procedure for aquaculture in fishing waterbodies. Artificial reproduction of fish (stocking) is carried out with a view of conservation and restoration of fish populations, as well as increasing fish productivity of fishery waterbodies. Artificial reproduction of fish (stocking, aquaculture) shall be performed by: (a) specialized organizations of the authorized state body (institution) in the field of protection, reproduction and management of wild fauna and local government, natural and legal persons in accordance with contracts for the performance of works for stocking of waterbodies by state order; (b) managers of waterbodies for fishery purposes at their own expense in accordance with model hunting and fishery development plan; (c) industrial (business) entities performing economic activities, in the form of compensation for damages caused to fish stocks. Aquaculture shall be performed in accordance with scientific recommendations, issued by a scientific organization in the field of protection, reproduction and management of wild fauna.
