Abstract This Decree lists different areas in Oman as zones of agricultural quarantine. The Decree prohibits the transport, from and to the quarantine zones, of palm trees or any derivate substance which may be contaminated by the red palm weevil. The Directorate General for Agricultural Development is the responsible authority for the containment, eradication and prevention of the spread of the red palm weevil in the quarantine zones.
