Abstract With the present Decree the salmonella epidemiologic investigation Programme is implemented within the national territory for the period of one year, starting from 1 October 2005 up to 30 September 2006. The Programme aims at assessing the propagation of salmonella virus to chicken at their third week of age used for meat production. Given that the Program concerns salmonella that causes animal diseases, the detection of monophasic salmonellae is excluded from the Program. The technical details for the implementation of the Program are established in the seven Annexes contained in this text which constitute integral part of the present Decree. The two articles of the Decree establish the competent authorities and the funding of the Programme.
