Entry into force notes: The Decree entered into force on 28 November 2003.

Abstract: This Decree has been adopted in order to implement at national level the provisions contained in Directive 2001/106/EC relating to the enforcement of international standards for ship safety and prevention of pollution. Article 2 identifies those ships which shall fall within the application scope. Fishing vessels are not included. Articles 3 to 9 deal with the inspection procedure. Access to national harbours is prohibited in respect of those ships which have not complied with the conditions prescribed during an inspection procedure (art. 11).
