The Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The present Decree establishes that enterprises in order to commercialize plant propagation material must be registered to the apposite Register of the Ministry of Agriculture and must hold a license for marketing such material. The Decree lays down the requirements for obtaining the licenses. The licenses are distinguished, depending on the activities of the enterprises (imports-exports, standardization, retail sale, etc), in A, B, and C type, while for the issuance of type D license, an already active license for seed production must exist. In all cases, the enterprises of marketing of plant propagation material must operate with the supervision of an agronomist, and must fulfill the conditions set forth in this Decree.
