Restrictions and prohibition shall be imposed with the consideration of geographic and climatic particulars of the natural habitats of fishery resources. The aforesaid restrictions and prohibition shall not be applicable to scientific research fisheries (carried out at governmental order), control, amelioration, experimental and stock enhancement fisheries, and also to waterbodies used for aquaculture. Prohibition shall be imposed on bycatch exceeding 8 percent of the total catch with the use of mesh fishing gear and bycatch exceeding 5 percent of the total catch with the use of screening net.
