Abstract

The identification of the species and categories of animals for the calculation of the market value shall be carried out by a veterinary authorized by the Government and assisted (a) by a representative of the provincial stockbreeders' association in case of slaughtering of cattle, buffaloes, swine, horses, sheep, goats and rabbits or (b) a representative of the National Avicultural Union or of the Apiculture or Aquaculture Organizations, as the case may be. The amount of the compensation is calculated on the average prices published in the weekly price list by the Institute for Market Survey, Research and Information (ISMEA). For the categories not included in the price list, the market value shall be established by a commission appointed by the competent Region. The Annexes to the Decree describes in detail the methods for the calculation of the market value of the different categories.
