Ministerial Decree No. 294 validating the Regulation on the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Processing Industry.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the role, tasks, functions and plenary powers of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Processing Industry. The Ministry shall be the state institution responsible for elaborating state policy for agro-industry, including land reform, stockbreeding, veterinary services, fish farming, plant cultivation, land reclamation, soil fertility, agricultural commodities, and food processing and liquor. The Ministry shall: (a) ensure food security; (b) manufacture and trade of agricultural commodities and foodstuffs; (c) increase exports of agricultural commodities; (d) promote peasant farms and associations; and (e) supervise and register the output of the food processing and liquor industries.
