Entry into force notes: The Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Abstract: This Decree provides for replacing certain provisions of Ministerial Decree No. 309873/2005 as regards the prohibition measures for distributing and placing on the market of domestic poultry by establishing terms and conditions of stock farming, transport, marketing of domestic poultry under the direct supervision and monitoring of veterinary services. It also establishes specifications for retail distribution and specific terms for poultry trade fairs. All measures aim at increasing the biosecurity level. Annexes I to VI make integral part of this Decree. Annex V sets out the details of the registration card for a retail store of family-farmed poultry, including the information on CITES-listed species.
