The main tasks of the aforesaid national park shall be: (a) conservation of natural purposes and cultural heritage; (b) introduction of ecofriendly processes into agriculture; (c) conservation of landscape and protected and endangered animal and plant species; and (d) tourism. Chatkal state biosphere reserve shall be environmental scientific research institution. Land of the aforesaid biosphere reserve shall be used exclusively with the purposeful use of protected area and land, water, subsoil wild flora and wild fauna shall be posted under protection of biosphere reserve. The purpose of Chatkal state biosphere reserve shall be preservation of unique natural ecosystems and biological diversity of the Western Tyan Shan, environmental monitoring and sustainable nature management.
