Abstract

For the need of classification of vine varieties in the country, the present Decree establishes eleven (11) viniculture geographical Departments and the corresponding Administrative Units that are composed as listed down in article 1. The vine varieties are classified according to the categories “recommended”, “allowed” and “provisionally allowed” as well as according to their use, such as “table wine” and “wine for special use”, etc. This classification is listed in Annex I attached to this Decree. The list of vine varieties for the purpose of wine production and the transcription of the Greek names in Latin characters are included in Annex II to this Decree.
