Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes that “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for ensuring radiation safety” shall be destined for natural and legal persons dealing with the sources of ionizing radiation in order to ensure radiation safety. The scope shall be to ensure protection of staff and population against radiation. It establishes maximum radiation level on annual basis and sets radiation exposure limits either for natural or for technogenic radiation sources. This Ministerial Decree establishes classes of radiation hazardousness for different types of radionuclides and daily rates of radiation exposure of the population in case of nuclear disaster and radioactive pollution.
