Abstract

This Ministerial Decree shall be applicable to: (a) fruit and vegetable juices; (b) directly squeezed juices; (c) reconstituted juices; (d) concentrated juices; (e) dry juices; (f) nectars; (g) juice drinks; (h) fruit infusions; (i) concentrated fruit infusions; (j) diffusion juices; (k) squash; and (l) concentrated squash. Raw materials used for juice production shall be safe for human beings and comply with hygienic and microbiological safety requirements. Packages and packaging materials shall comply with food safety requirements. The use of natural food additives shall be allowed for the processing of juices. Measurement of safety indices of juices is contained in the Annex 5. Packaging of juices shall ensure safe transportation of produce. Authentic juices shall be identifiable in order to avoid misleading information and prevent fraud and adulteration of produce.
