Entry into force notes
The Decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

With this Decree, fresh, processed and frozen agricultural products of plant origin which are imported, exported to EU country-members or placed on the domestic market shall undergo a qualitative control by the competent authorities (controllers) of the Ministry of Rural Development in accordance with the national and European Union legislation as well as in compliance with the international standards. Such Bodies of control shall be responsible also for relative administrative procedures and for granting certificates of qualitative control. For agricultural products of plant origin for which Community or national rules of qualitative control do not exist, the current national provisions made by the Ministry of Rural Development on qualitative controls on similar products that are intended for export into third countries shall apply.
