Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for registering the entry (and exit) of fishing vessels into (and out of) fishing seaports, in order to transport catches and fish products, for the purpose of coordinating harbour administration and sanitary, quarantine and veterinary inspections. The following types of inspection shall be authorized in fishing seaports: (a) harbour inspections; (b) border control; (c) customs control; (d) sanitary and quarantine inspections; and (e) veterinary inspections. Applications specifying the time of the fishing vessel’s entry (or exit) into (or out of) the fishing seaport and its purpose shall be submitted by the ship’s owner (or authorized representative) to harbour administration. Registration procedures shall not exceed three hours.
