Abstract This Decree addresses issues of import of ornamental birds and it is composed of 8 articles. Article one lifts the prohibition on the import of ornamental birds depending on today’s epidemiological situation for the import process of each country. Article 2 states that the import of ornamental birds should be free of epidemic and infectious diseases especially bird flu. Article 3 provides for the quarantine and health requirements and certificates by the General Committee of Veterinary Services.
