Abstract This Ministerial Decree addresses the import of foodstuffs subject to state registration, of which only samples necessary for registration testing may be imported prior to registration. Import of foodstuffs shall be authorized if accompanied by: (a) a food safety certificate issued by the exporter; and (b) an import authorization issued by the competent national authority. Import permits for foodstuffs subject to veterinary inspection shall be valid for 30 calendar days, while the import authorization for foodstuffs subject to sanitary and epidemiological inspection shall be valid for the duration of the import contract.
