Abstract

The state protection of wildlife species shall be carried out by the authorized state institution carrying out management, reproduction and use of wildlife. The main tasks and duties of the state protection of wildlife shall be: (a) prevention and suppression of the offences; (b) reporting to law enforcement bodies and courts on the violation of the national legislation on wildlife. The state wildlife protection bodies shall carry out the following functions: (a) protection of rare and endangered wildlife species; (b) law enforcement; (c) protection of habitats; (d) reproduction of wildlife species, including rare and endangered ones; (e) supervision over the epizootic situation of wildlife and (f) education.
