An area shall be considered a federal health resort if it meets the following criteria: (a) availability of one or more unique medicinal resources; (b) availability of mineral water, therapeutic muds and other sufficient natural medicinal factors; (c) compliance with ecological, sanitary and epidemiological norms and standards set for protected areas used for health care; and (d) potable water supply.
