Abstract This Decree sets forth the establishment of the Technical Committee for Animal Health to combat bird flu, and is composed of 4 Articles. As stated in Article 2, the main tasks of this committee would include providing technical information on animal health when needed, providing a platform for exchange of information and mechanisms that allow continuous discussions. Other tasks include following-up and reviewing the executive procedures to ensure it abides by the international standards, and easing the coordination between local and international researchers in Egypt that relates to bird flu disease, and any other poultry diseases.
