Federal health resorts are protected areas by law, and protection schemes shall be put in place to ensure the conservation of their natural medicinal resources and protection against pollution. Such areas shall be established if their natural resources are not within the subsoil. The following natural resources shall be subject to protection within areas of protection: (a) mineral water for medicinal purposes and for bottling; (b) medicinal muds; (c) natural gases and steam for medicinal purposes; (d) medicinal climate; (e) brine of estuaries and lakes; (f) medicinal waterbodies; (g) forests, forest parks and green plantations; and (h) delimited territories of resorts.
