The object of regulation shall be potable water. Water abstraction facilities (boreholes, stills, drains) used for bottling shall comply with technical requirements and regulations. Selection criteria of source for bottled water production shall take into consideration: (a) conditions of formation and bedding of groundwater; (b) hydrological parameters of aquifer; (c) commercial amount of groundwater; (d) water quality; (e) protection of aquifer; (f) presence of water pollution sources; and (g) sanitary and epidemiological characteristics of water intake area.
