Abstract

The Ministry of Forestry shall be authorized to licence timber extraction, issue licences, duplicates thereof, suspension, renewal, prolongation of timber extraction licences and supervision over the compliance of the licensing conditions. The duration of licences shall be five years, renewable for the following five years. Timber extraction licence shall include (1) felling; (2) cutting off branches and twigs; (3) logging. Licensing conditions shall include the availability of technical equipment to carry out the licensed activity. Gross violation within a calendar year of the licensing conditions shall entail the repeal of the licence. Gross violation includes: (1) violation of forest fire safety requirements; (2) unauthorized felling or damaging of trees and failure to pay the related penalty; (3) failure to report to the Ministry of Forestry within the deadline.
