The Program envisages the increase of catch of the principal marketable fishes and carrying out the urgent arrangements for the conservation of genetic resources of rare and protected fish species. In relation to the afore-mentioned arrangements protected areas aimed at conservation, exploration, research and reproduction of fishing resources shall be set up. The Program outlines the following way of the development of fisheries: 1) international cooperation; 2) strengthening protection of fishing resources and carrying out melioration fishing arrangements; 3) artificial reproduction of stocks; 4) strengthening ichthyologic service authorized to carry out exploration of fish stocks; 5) selective catch of not valuable fish species in the concentration areas thereof for the purpose of elimination of competition with the marketable fish species; 6) improvement of biotechnology of the artificial reproduction of fishes; 7) conservation and sustainable utilization of rare and protected fish species.
