Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes technical norms of emissions to the environment in the process of manufacturing of aluminum oxide by the Bayer process. It shall be applicable to processes using the best available practices and technologies and ensuring protection of human life, health and environment, and also rational use of natural resources. Only aluminum dioxide processing facilities complying with the established emission standards can be located on the national territory. Emission of industrial waste water in the course of aluminum dioxide manufacturing process shall be prohibited.
