Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for licensing the extraction of precious metals, rare earth metals and gemstones, as well as the terms and conditions for their issuance, withdrawal and revocation. Such licences shall be valid for five years, conditioned upon: (a) observance of national legislation on subsoil; (b) observance of the requirements for the conservation, storage and transportation of metals and gemstones; and (c) a valid registration certificate issued by the state assay office. Applicants must submit the following documentation: (a) application; (b) notarized copy of the state registration certificate; (c) expert opinion of state inspection on the applicant’s compliance with licensing terms and conditions; and (d) a copy of the receipt for payment of the licensing fee.
